How does it work?
Each reader chooses one of the two books listed for a particular genre from the row for their age range. The suggested age ranges are guides, not fixed rules, so parents may help children decide on the age range that is most appropriate for them and their reading levels.
Read one book? Earn a water bottle sticker or a piece of candy.
Read two books? Earn your choice of a fun bookmark.
Read three books? Earn a mini stuffed animal, reading tote bag, book lover socks, or book lover coffee cups.
Read four books (one from each genre)? Earn a Trinity Reads t-shirt.
Prizes will be available at church each week, so you can get them as you earn them.
Note: The selected books are not all Christian books and do not necessarily reflect the views of Trinity Church Burke or the planners of the Trinity Summer Reading Challenge. We have done our best to select books that are good, beautiful, and true and books that will encourage a love of reading and good conversations and thinking within our families and congregation. Where we've not read the books ourselves, we've relied heavily on recommendations from sources we trust. However, as always, use your own judgement in choosing books for you and your family to read.
