Advent Week 4 (2025) // Isaiah 7:10-17
Rev. Mike Seawright   -

This Advent sermon from Rev. Mike Seawright reflects on King Ahaz in Isaiah 7 as a fearful, overwhelmed ruler who chose his own plans over trusting God, even when God graciously offered reassurance and a sign. God’s promise of a child called Emmanuel was both an immediate sign of God’s presence and provision for Judah and a deeper promise ultimately fulfilled in Jesus, born of a virgin and descended from Ahaz’s line. The message encourages listeners to trust that God is faithful and at work in a story far bigger than their fears, even when they feel overwhelmed and unsure.
